Damaged Goods and Returns

Damaged or short shipments should be reported immediately upon receipt.

If a shipment arrives damaged or if the box appears damaged:

Note “damaged” on the delivery bill and have the driver sign it, acknowledging the damage. Failure to acknowledge with the courier is your responsibility and could result in your claim being disputed/rejected.

Contact the Adaptive Abilities Customer Service Department immediately at 1-800-661-4446 to start processing an insurance claim. An order will be entered at that time to replace the merchandise.

Save the container and merchandise for inspection.

Return Policy:

First:
Contact Adaptive Abilities at 1-800-661-4446 or sales@adaptiveabilties.com to receive a return-authorization-number.

Second:
Clearly write this number on the outside of your return shipment and send the package back to Adaptive Abilities.

All return shipping expenses are paid by the customer. Items must be returned within 15 days of receipt of the item with the correct return-authorization-number.

Sorry, no returns will be accepted after 90 days elapses from the receipt of the item and/or without a return-authorization-number. All products are subject to manufactures warranties and guarantees.

For health reasons we are unable to accept returns or exchanges of eating, hygiene, and mouth stick products. In addition, we cannot accept books, computer software, slippers, shoes, gloves, videos and several orthopedic items that have been removed from original packaging and/or used (this may included tested or for fitting). Please contact our office for assistances. If you require items for testing or evaluation, we will be more then happy to assist you.

To ensure prompt return processing, please attach the original packing list, invoice and return-authorization-number.

If you receive merchandise as a result of an Adaptive Abilities error, we will pay for the return shipping expense.

For all other returns, we will credit your account for returned merchandise, minus any restocking fees; once merchandise has been received, inspected and confirmed to be in re-sellable condition. Credits will not be issued for items received in non re-sellable condition. The customer is responsible for properly packaging and protecting the item during its shipping back to Adaptive Abilities. Initial freight charges are not credited. All credits must be redeemed within 180 days. Credits will be applied to account and/or Gift Certificate

All returns must have a return-authorization-number.

All unauthorized returns are subject to a 20% processing fee and a $10 administrative charge.

All returns must be in original packaging and received in new and re-sellable condition. For applicable restocking fees consult the chart below:

Restocking Fees:

  • Under 30 days: No restocking fee on items shipped UPS. 15% of price of returns on truck shipped items
  • 30-60 days: 25% of price of all returned items
  • 61-90 days: 50% of price of all returned items
  • 90 days: sorry, no returns will be accepted after 90 days has elapsed.

 

Credits for returns are issued only to original purchaser. No cash refunds issued for under $25.00. Credit balance will be applied to future purchases made within 180 days.
