Order Information

How do I know if you received my order?

After you have placed the order, a confirmation will appear on-line. This confirms that the order has been received. In addition, you will receive an email invoice with the order summary and confirmation number.

When will my order be shipped?

Most orders placed Monday-Friday by 3pm PST, are shipped promptly. Shipping from Adaptive Abilities will not occur on Saturday, Sunday or holidays. Orders received during the weekend will be promptly shipped out on Monday. Some exceptions include:

  • Drop ship items that are shipped directly from the manufacturer. Delivery times will vary.
  • Back ordered merchandise will be shipped as soon as the item becomes available.

 

What is your backorder policy?

If an out-of-stock item is backordered, the item will be shipped immediately upon receipt from our supplier.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders are instantly transmitted to the warehouse for shipment and therefore difficult to intercept. However, if your order has not been processed we will gladly cancel your order. If your order has been shipped, we will gladly accept your order in return and credit your account.

What do I do if I receive a damaged shipment?

If you receive a damaged shipment call the carrier and report it. Depending on the value they may come and do an inspection. They will provide a reference number. Then call us at Adaptive Abilities at 1-800-661-4446 or info@adaptiveabilities.com with the information and we’ll assist you in processing your claim.

What if I open my package and find items missing or defective?

We make every attempt to accurately pack and ship your order. Should you receive incorrect, damaged or defective merchandise, please contact Adaptive Abilities Customer Service at 1-800-661-4446 or info@adaptiveabilities.com for assistance.

How do I return an item?

Please call Adaptive Abilities Customer Service at 1-800-661-4446 or info@adaptiveabilities.com. A Customer Service Representative will provide you with a Return-Authorization-Number and further instructions.

Are there items that I cannot return?

For health reasons we are unable to accept returns or exchanges of eating, hygiene and mouth stick products. In addition, we cannot accept books, computer software, slippers, shoes, gloves, and videos that have been removed from original packaging.

What are my payment choices?

We accept Purchase Orders, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We also invite you to telephone our office to place your order at 1-800-661-4446. If you wish, you can also send in your order through the mail, by fax or e-mail (see address and numbers below). Checks and money orders are also accepted.

Yes. Though not required, purchase orders are accepted. You may elect to fax them to us, mail them or use e-mail (see address and numbers below)

Can you order on account?

Yes, you can set up accounts with Adaptive Abilities and order adaptive aid products and assistive technology on account.

Is your site secure?

We understand that you may have concerns about using your credit card to make online purchases. At Adaptive Abilities, we utilize a digital certificate from Verisign, Inc., a leading provider of Internet trust services. When you enter a secure portion of the site (any page that shows your account information), you will see a closed lock or a solid key at the bottom of your browser. Will I be charged sales tax?

I need a copy of my invoice. How do I get one?

Upon receipt of your on-line order an invoice is automatically produced and sent to your attention. For all telephone, fax, mail or orders on account, invoices are generated and sent with your shipment. If you require, we will be happy to fax that to you separately.

When will my credit card be billed?

Your credit card will be billed when your order is shipped. Your charges should appear on your next credit card statement.

I need a credit card receipt?

If you require a separate copy of a credit card receipt, we will be more then happy to send you a copy.
