Shipping & Handling

We ship via Federal Express, UPS, Purolator, or Parcel Post (Mail) whenever possible. Freight charges are prepaid and added to your invoice. Please see our shipping rates below, to review shipping charges for all shipments within North America.

Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico orders are sent Priority Mail unless otherwise arranged. For these destinations, delivery costs will be priced separately. You have several options, you can complete your order online and at the time of "check-out" you submit your order as a quote rather than a charge to your account or credit card. You can also send us an email request to sales@adaptiveabilities.com or you can simply complete our on-line order form. Either way a customer service representative will get back to you with a shipping quotation from either Federal Express, Parcel Post or UPS.

International Orders are sent by USPS, Federal Express or UPS. Freight charges are prepaid and added to your invoice. For International orders a separate quotation for shipping is required. We have created two options for you, you can complete your order online and at the time of "check-out" you submit your order as a quote rather than a charge to your account or credit card. Second, you can simply complete the following International Order Request Form and a shipping quotation will be supplied as charged by USPS, Federal Express or UPS. Shipping rates do not include duties, taxes or other non-routine customs brokerage charges. Other shipping charges, surcharges or accessorial charges may apply and your final shipping charge may differ based on your shipper characteristics and the characteristics of, and services requested for, shipments actually tendered to the courier selected.

Rush Delivery:

If you need an order right away, you may opt for next-day air or second-day air delivery. Charges for this service are as indicated.

Factory Direct:

Some products are shipped direct from the factory or are made to order. These will normally be shipped within 4 to 6 weeks. Shipping charges may be quoted separately.

Oversized/Overweight:

Items identified as "oversized/overweight" require additional shipping and handling charges. Theses charges may be quoted separately from a customer service representative.

Additions to Freight Table:

Due to escalating fuel surcharges from our freight carriers, we are now forced to pass on a fuel surcharge for all orders.

  • Ground Surcharge vary from 9% to 12.5% per order.
  • Truck Shipments 15% of Freight Charge
  • Customs broker surcharges, customs and duties as assessed to the related shipment tendered to the courier by the customer.

Risk of Loss:

All products purchased from Adaptive Abilities are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items are passed to you, the customer, upon our delivery to the courier. It is up to the customer to select and order insurance on all orders, at all times.

  • Due to the oversized and/or overweight nature of certain merchandise, additional charges may apply. Please continue to process your order. An Adaptive Abilities Customer Service Representative will contact you with a quote for shipping oversized or overweight items.
  • COD orders or collect shipments are not available from Adaptive Abilities
  • For orders under $50.00, a handling charge may be applied to your invoice and is charged by the manufacturer.
  • Products requiring moving van delivery may require additional delivery charges.
  • For Saturday delivery, additional charges will be applied. For early morning delivery Monday to Friday, additional charges will be applied. Applies to both Canada and the US.
  • (**) For inside delivery charges, add $50. If a lift gate is required, add $100.
  • (***) Subject to quotation.
